With your help we can restore our dream - the lavender farm we started to inspire and share the beauty of nature with our community.
*Update! - Thank you to everyone that has donated so far! Your support means so much to us! Also, thank you to everyone that has reached out and offered wisdom in alternative ways for us to improve our land or offered to volunteer their time or heavy equipment to make our goal more achievable. Because of this, we have been able to budget our improvements and repairs differently and greatly reduce the funding required to meet our farms needs. If anybody local would like to donate time and materials in Iieu of monetary donations we definitely welcome that as well*
Who we are: We're Ryan and Krysty, a young couple with a shared love of nature and the beauty of a quiet rural life. We started our lavender farm in 2020 in the hopes of creating a space where guests could escape the stress of everyday life, to be surrounded in a literal field of tranquility. Lavender was a way to take part in our agricultural community, in a way that felt true to our goal of doing more than growing a crop. In the past five years, we've grown from a small farm with a unique product, to a destination that draws visitors from all over. We welcome every single guest, and love to see the joy that being in the beauty of nature brings to people.
Over the past 18 months however, we have faced obstacles that very well could spell the end of our dream. Extreme weather, such as excessive rainfall and a harsh winter, has decimated our lavender fields. Lavender, a perennial, takes up to 2 years to reach maturity, and seeing many hundreds of mature plants wither and die has been devastating.
Our mission: We hope to replant, rebuild, and recover our farm to be better and even more beautiful than before. We want to continue providing a place where guests can surround themselves in peace and rural beauty, where we can educate others about the things we are passionate about - sustainable farming, protecting pollinators, and supporting local flora.
Why does this matter: In today's fast-paced world, it's more important than ever to enjoy the beauty of nature, and connect with other people in a meaningful way. What we have built and are trying to save is more than just our dream, our business, and our way of life - it's a community.
