We need your help to complete the restoration of a 1980 FD-12 50ft sailboat. Only 25 have ever been made ours is #15
We are Jean-Luc & Diane, met in 2016 and started our journey together. First a little about my other half. Jean-Luc is from Paris, he learned how to sail when he was 16, and started racing soon after. He owned a boatyard in South Brittany , France, where he did most of everything selling renting and fixing boats. Because of this he brings decades of sailing and boatyard experience.
This became a passion for him.
I, Diane, am from California where I studied business and bringing communities together . Sailing or boating was not my original passion, but once I was aboard you couldn't separate us.
We acquired ATMA a few months ago, started to restore it, involve the community and give back at the same time. We do have some members already helping us and need more.
Your donations will directly fund the restoration — covering mechanical repairs, materials, painting varnishing and upgrades to return ATMA to its’ original beauty.
We believe in giving back and all donors will be invited to sail with us on the boat for day trips, weekend or weeks sailing to Channel Islands. And for those who can’t donate financially, we welcome hands-on-deck — because time and effort are just as valuable. We will have contact information for all donors.
Donors who donate at least $200 will be invited to go out for a day trip.
Those who will donate $500 or more will be invited to take a weekend to the Channel Islands.
Those who will donate $2000 or more will be invited to take a week to the Channel Islands.
Sailing around Anacapa or Santa Cruz, anchoring in Prisoners, Little Smugglers or Potatoes is a dream come true.
Lets connect, have fun together and go sailing on ATMA after the restoration!
This isn’t just a boat—it’s a symbol of freedom and fun!
PS: You will become a member of ATMA Association.
Donation can be made at one time or by increments.
