Community Care in Action: A Free Market for All

Aim
The People's Village aims to connect the generous people of Wilmington, NC, with our neighbors affected by economic instability.
At the end of October, a group of pissed-off women met over drinks to brainstorm ways we can help Wilmington, North Carolina, during these tumultuous times. We hit the ground running, securing a $1000 donation towards an indoor venue almost immediately. Since then, we've continued collecting donations, making connections, and doing everything we can to strengthen our community.
And now, because of you, we're halfway to our goal! Every dollar goes to ingredients for hot meals all three days of the market as well as filling in any gaps to best serve our neighbors.

We will be able to take donations during our market days as well at 621 Greenfield Street!
We are SO close to our goals! Entirely donation-based and volunteer-run, The People’s Village connects essential goods and resources with Wilmington residents who need them most.
Requested donations include:
Non-perishable food items (canned goods, cereals, snack packs, rice/pastas, etc)
Cleaning supplies (Dawn, paper towels, Lysol wipes, etc)
Personal care items (feminine hygiene products, toothbrushes/paste, soap, etc)
Unopened pet food
Can openers
Coats and packaged socks
Wilmington is a caring, generous community, and no one in New Hanover County deserves to go hungry. The People’s Village connects resources to the people who need them most. Your contribution ensures we have the space, supplies, and meals to sustain our neighbors through this crisis.
