Spays for a herd of Community Cats

Aim

A herd of community cats whose kittens are about to come of age that we need to get spayed and neutered asap. Need $900 for spays and vaxs.

Help needed urgently! 

We have a herd of community cats whose kittens are about to come of age. And we need to get them spayed and neutered asap before they start making their own kittens. There are 7 girl kittens and 2 moms who we want to get fixed immediately (and we’ll get the boys later as more funds are raised). Currently we are needing to raise $900 to get their spays and rabies vacs.

Our goal is to help a community of abandoned cats that were pregnant and then had kittens. They were abandoned on our gravel road and found their way up our driveway to be fed. Most of them currently live in the woods across our road. But have since brought some of their kittens to live in our wood pile and an old broken down car. One of the abandon mamas was smart enough to get friendly with us and stayed in the house toward the end of her pregnancy and had her babies inside and has been living in our sunroom with her babies since then. We will allow them to live their best lives on our farm but want to make sure they don’t keep making more kittens and stay healthy, safe and happy.

As of now we have counted 6 adults (at least 3 of them female) and 14 babies.

We live in a rural part of Missouri where resources for community cats are sparse and funding for those resources are limited. The rescues and shelters are all already overcrowded. That is why we are allowing them to stay living as a large family unit on our property, to not add any more stress to the local rescues/shelters and to let the cats continue to have the family community they know and have amongst them.
