Help them get started
Your support makes a difference
I want to be able to begin hosting and facilitating local Pet Loss Support Groups within my community without charging attendees.
My name is Jillian and I have a background working in pet memorial/aftercare and veterinary medicine. While working within these environments I came to see there were many gaps to be bridged in supporting those experiencing the loss of their animal family members.
Thus, I began my own business as a companion animal death doula. As an animal death doula, I accompany those navigating the end of life journey with their pets; offering emotional, spiritual and logistical support. While doing this work, it has been made very apparent how difficult it is to find community when grieving the loss of a beloved animal companion. Loss and all that comes with transitioning when a loved one dies has never been intended to be carried solely by one’s self.
To expand my services, I recently found and finished a course where I earned a certificate as a Pet Loss Support Group Specialist through the University of Vermont. My goal is to create spaces for people to connect, grieve together, and grow around their grief. My plan for the use of all funding and donations is to begin providing groups and fund space to host grief support groups/events, offer supplies for projects and grief support resources at no cost.

My inspiration pictured above. Rest in love, Jewel.
