This is long, but as detailed as possible. Holly is an only child & no other family but me at this point.

I feel a profound responsibility to help them, especially given that the perpetrator of the trauma they recently suffered is a member of my own family; my uncle, who adopted Holly as a toddler after marrying her mother.

Here’s an outline of their story: 

Recently, Holly and Tim were the victims of a life-threatening domestic violence incident that resulted in a six-hour standoff with police in a remote rural area, resulting in Holly’s “father’s” arrest.

The subsequent Pennsylvania State Police investigation has confirmed, through admission and forensic evidence, that Holly was not only a victim of this recent domestic violence but also a survivor of long-term childhood sexual abuse that had been covered up by family members for years. 

State police documented 71 domestic violence police reports, including 5 reports involving firearms, filed against the abuser dating back to 1990, and he was never arrested until now. My uncle meticulously planned this out and used the ploy of gifting Holly her childhood home to move closer to his family 4 hours away.

This revelation has been devastating, and the immediate aftermath has left Holly and Tim in a severe, time-sensitive financial crisis. They have no family support other than myself; the rest side with the abuser. Tim and Holly lost nearly all their personal property by being burned or smashed during the standoff. They are also being kicked out of the property he “gifted” them. I can’t say more about that at this time.

The domestic violence, lifetime  of sexual abuse,  financial abuse and 14 days after Holly’s mother died.  This has depleted everything they had saved. 

Initially, Holly was granted a PFA in 2025 giving exclusive possession of residence until April 2027, giving time to get on feet and rebuild finances for Fresh start & moving expenses. Abusers family got him a lawyer and basically illegally had an ejectment action ruled on. Legal aide attorney filed appeal on behalf of Holly & Tim, and unfortunately wont be resolved until current ejectment date.

We have exhausted every traditional avenue for assistance, only to be met with dead ends or policies that require them to pay massive out-of-pocket costs upfront before receiving any reimbursement.

They are currently 15 days from being displaced and in urgent need of support to restart their lives. We are raising funds to cover:

• Moving expenses to relocate to a safe environment.

• Replacement fees for identification, social security cards, birth certificates, job certifications that had been burnt

• Security deposits and initial rent/utilities for a new, secure home, and rent/utilities for an extra month or 2 to minimize further anxiety and fear of unknowns so they can focus on securing their employment & anything that might require.

• Replacing property and purchasing the professional attire required for them to return to the workforce. Tim and Holly have a great employment history in management and already have places offering them positions if they relocate nearby.
