Naomi’s Voice: Turning Tragedy into Hope

My name is Ashley, and I created Naomi’s Voice from a place of love, heartbreak, and determination. Naomi was murdered because of domestic violence, and her loss became a turning point in my life. I refuse to let her story end with tragedy. I want her name to become a voice that reaches people before it is too late.

My own experiences with unhealthy and toxic relationships have taught me how complicated abuse can be. Domestic violence is not always obvious from the outside. It can begin with control, manipulation, isolation, emotional abuse, or fear before it ever becomes physical. I understand how difficult it can be to recognize what is happening, find the courage to leave, and rebuild your life afterward. Those experiences strengthened my determination to help others feel seen, believed, and supported.

Naomi’s Voice is being built around one simple belief: every person deserves to feel safe, valued, and free. Our mission is to raise awareness about domestic violence, empower survivors, educate communities, and help prevent future violence. We believe this message must include everyone. Domestic violence affects women, men, children, and families, and every person impacted by it deserves compassion and support.

My vision is bigger than a campaign. I want Naomi’s Voice to grow into a movement that turns grief into action. I envision educational resources, community outreach, survivor-support initiatives, awareness events, partnerships with organizations, and a platform where people can share their stories without shame.

The money we raise will help us build the foundation for this vision. Funds will support educational and awareness materials, outreach efforts, community events, promotional resources, survivor-centered initiatives, and the development of Naomi’s Voice as a lasting community movement. As the project grows, we hope to connect survivors with trusted resources and organizations that can provide practical assistance and safety support.

I am passionate about this work because I know that silence can cost lives. I am determined to keep speaking, even when the subject is painful. Naomi deserved more time, more safety, and more life. I cannot change what happened to her, but I can choose what happens because of her story.

Naomi’s Voice is about remembering her, protecting others, and turning one heartbreaking loss into countless reasons to choose love, courage, compassion, and action.

One voice can start a conversation. One conversation can change a life. And one movement can help change a community.
