Help James, Rhonda & Dio Get a Van — From Homelessness to Hope

Full Story:

James and Rhonda are ordained ministers who have spent their lives helping others. Now, after their employer went bankrupt, they and their dog Dio are living in a 2005 Saab — and they need your help to get back on their feet.

Who We Are:

James and Rhonda are ordained ministers with a dream: to start a spiritual nonprofit that brings guidance, enlightenment, and community support to those who need it most. They were ordained in August 2025 and have been eager to begin officiating weddings, blessings, and spiritual services — but they haven't had the funds to purchase the basic supplies needed to get started.

These are the kind of people who would give you their last $20 if you were stranded. If you ran out of gas, they'd be on their way before you even had to ask. They don't hesitate to help others, and they never expect anything in return. Even now, while struggling every single day, they face the world with gratitude and a positive attitude.

What Happened

In February 2025, James and Rhonda moved into a tiny home rented through their employer. After more than a year of financial struggle, it felt like a fresh start. They finally had stability, comfort, and a fenced yard for their loyal Belgian Malinois, Dio.

Then, on November 3, 2025, everything collapsed. Their employer shut down due to serious financial issues and filed for bankruptcy. James and Rhonda lost their jobs — and were given just one week to vacate their home. With no savings and nowhere to go, they were forced onto the streets with almost no time to prepare.

Where They Are Now

James, Rhonda, and Dio are currently living in their 2005 Saab 9-2X. They are actively searching for work, but without stable shelter, even basic survival — sleep, hygiene, reliable transportation — has become a daily battle.

The Goal: A Van = A Future

A van would be life-changing. It would provide:

- A safe, stable place to sleep

- Room for Dio to be comfortable

- A way to maintain hygiene and stay organized

- Reliable transportation to job interviews and work

- A stepping stone back to independence and dignity

How You Can Help

We are seeking 5,000 to purchase a reliable used van, the insurance and the cost for the title transfer fees. Every dollar goes directly toward this goal.

$5 — Every penny helps. No donation is too small.

$25 — Covers a tank of gas for job searching

$100 — Brings us closer to the down payment

$500+ — A major step toward securing the vehicle

If you have a van to donate, trade, or sell at a discount, please reach out directly.

We believe in full transparency and have linked an account that is being used specifically for this campaign to put towards the van, title transfer fees and insurance in accordance with state laws and regulations.

James, Dio and I are holding on — but we need a hand to get back up. Your donation, share, or prayer means everything. Thank you for reading, caring, and being part of our journey home.
