Seeking funds to expand and develop 🌐NCWS programs & resources to remain sustainable & adaptable for local, national & global client demand
I recently read in a National PTA Givebacks message: "Labor Day is about more than a long weekend — it’s a time to honor the stories that got us here!" I couldn't agree more! Dear Friends, I'd love to share an honorable story about a living legacy founded on humble beginnings, which has gotten me here. 17 years ago in April 2008, I was blessed with a vision for a community writing center and redefined tutoring: learning coach services. This vision birthed a passionate desire to establish a Nesmith legacy in honor of my dad, James Melvin Nesmith, and our family.
My dad was, and always will be, a man of great honor. Throughout my childhood, some people recall how often dad bragged about a successful future for me as a lawyer or high-powered professional. No matter the paths I chose, he always wanted me to share my mind, spread knowledge, and pay it forward to others. Even after death, dad's positive reinforcement and values never left me.
Thanks to who James Melvin was along with a God-given vision and passion, I created, founded, and owned 🌐Nesmith Community Writing Services (NCWS)..."Where Learning Comes to YOU!" (Se habla español). From years of bootstrapping sessions, research, and program development, NCWS has positively influenced the academic and professional successes of numerous learners, families, small businesses, community partners and advocates. Most supporters can attest how far we have come and believe in us going much further. I am forever indebted to those who have given NCWS opportunities to show up, serve, and be a part of life journeys.
On this Labor Day, it is time to honor NCWS as a true legacy of learning for all ages and stages of academic advancement and professional development. The demand for services, programs, and resources NCWS offers is growing significantly. Consequently, I completed an expansion plan to expand NCWS to greater heights. Our Crowdfunder Campaign is live to seek funding organically for the "Expand NCWS Project" (see below). Any amount of funds received toward our project will enable NCWS to be sustainable and adaptable for its local, national & global clientele.
