Aim

Aiming to continue my education in London, I’m looking to raise up to 5,500 dollars for tuitional cost & my mother to help me with my move.

Hello Everyone, My name is Neo Alexander Doe I am rising senior, Communications and Finance student at Morehouse College. After undergrad I am looking to mesh my academic understandings of media and finance to work in production for film, television, and other facets of media. With my forthcoming semester I am looking to expand my horizons, studying and interning through CIEE’s London Study abroad/Intern program. This opportunity would allow me to travel to Europe for the first time, while expanding upon my professional experience. This opportunity would bring me a step closer to achieving my dream of working in film production, and eventually being able to own my own film production company. While my ambitions are high, finances have been continuous struggle in my academic career. Before attending Morehouse College, I graduated high school from the illustrious Woodward Academy. During my time at Woodward my family and I were served as host for Woodward’s exchange program; ultimately influencing my interest in studying abroad. In the past 8 years our family has hosted 5 different exchange students from China. Despite attending these amazing institutions, it has become a consistent stressor trying to stay enrolled. Going into my first year of college my financial situation would greatly shift as my parents would divorce. Also during this time our family’s transportation business would take a hit as one of our vehicles was totaled after I had been hit on my drivers side of the car, while stopped at a red light. Losing this vehicle has subjected my family to a constant uphill financial battle. This has resulted in me having to take out multiple loans, working multiple jobs, and constantly stressing just to continue my education. Being able to study abroad this forthcoming semester won’t only be an enriching experience for me, but would also be a much more affordable option in comparison to studying at Morehouse this fall. Furthering my education and global experience are both two aspects of my life I'm forever committed to, and understand that I can’t achieve alone. With your assistance I can be able to continue my education while simultaneously working towards the future I envision for myself and my family.
