Aim

Our aim is to bring Fatal Promises 2 to life by supplying the resources needed to ensure quality for production!

My name is Nakeva Bryant, founder of SckyHigh Films.

My journey began with a childhood dream of becoming a Grammy Award-winning artist—but God had a different stage waiting for me. After writing a soulful R&B gospel song titled “Tired,” listeners told me it belonged in a movie. The song was eventually placed in an independent film, opening a door to an industry I had never imagined entering but felt called to pursue.

In 2016, I founded SckyHigh Films with nothing but faith, a dream, and a vision. Our first film, Wait for Love, was completed before we had a platform to release it. Still, producer Tabitha Hoof of Tab-It Productions and I refused to give up. Four months later, Maverick Entertainment contacted us about distributing the film. It was confirmation of Proverbs 18:16: “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”

One of my most treasured projects is Bootleg Church, which my mother and I wrote together. Production was delayed by COVID-19, and soon afterward, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Despite everything, my mother lived to see our story brought to life on set a memory I will cherish forever.

In 2023, shortly before filming Grimy Situation, I experienced a mild stroke. That moment could have stopped me, but instead, it awakened something within me. It reminded me that God is in control and that I must continue walking in the purpose He has given me.

Later that year, I lost my mother to pancreatic cancer. She was more than my mother, she was my inspiration, my strength, and one of the greatest believers in my calling. Every story I create carries a piece of her legacy.

Through pain, I found purpose. Filmmaking is more than something I do it is part of who I am. From Wait for Love, Bootleg Church, and Irreversible Desire to Grimy Situation, Droppin Bodies, and Fatal Promises, our journey has been built on faith, resilience, growth, and an unwavering love for storytelling.

Now, we are ready to bring Fatal Promises 2 to life.

Funds raised through this campaign will help us secure professional equipment and locations, employ talented actors and crew members, complete post-production, market the film, submit it to festivals, and expand its distribution reach.

Fatal Promises 2 — Synopsis

Kingston Coleman appears to have everything he ever wanted: a powerful new position as Texas District Attorney, a beautiful family, and another baby on the way. But beneath his perfect image, Kingston remains the same charming ladies’ man whose infidelity once placed him on a deadly collision course with Renae Morgan.
