Help them get started
Your support makes a difference
Help launch Southwest Louisiana's 1st glass-to-aggregate recycling facility, transforming waste into valuable materials.
On-Site Collection or Free Community Drop-Off Hubs – The mini MRF stops at participating bars, restaurants, and festivals/events to collect used glass bottles.
Immediate Processing – Instead of hauling glass away, the truck crushes it on-site, breaking it down into small, reusable pieces.
Local Reuse – The crushed glass is stored then repurposed for construction projects, landscaping, and even sustainable concrete.
You sign up to be a member. We collect, weigh, record, and reward you cash for your glass.
Residential members- $0.06 per pound (that amount is the average payout of all 10 states participating in the Bottle Bill)
Commercial members- $0.09 per pound (that amount is the average payout of the 3 states that pay more for larger glass bottles)
When do you get paid?
Every October
Why do we pay you?
We want every person and business to have a vested interest in recycling sustainable materials for a stronger future. GTA Recycling wants everyone to be good stewards of the earth by actively reducing waste and conserving our natural resources for future generations.
What We Do
We collect SWLA glass and recycle it into sand, gravel, eco-friendly construction, new glass products, and donate sandbags for disaster preparation/relief.
Our Impact:
(1) Divert glass waste from landfills and creating a circular economy of usable products that benefit our community
(2) Reinvest in Louisiana by giving customers annual payouts, donations for disaster relief, eco-friendly construction options, and new glass products.
(3) Educate and engage Southwest Louisiana to collectively address our area inadequate recycling system. Our Sportsman's Paradise is consistently 49th or 50th for recycling.
What This Fundraiser Lets Us Accomplish
- Build 1st glass recycling Material Recovery Facility (MRF pronounced 'murf') in Southwest Louisiana
- Collect data for engineering studies for a system where glass waste is converted into aggregate to replace sand in construction and infrastructure
- Invest in data driven facilities, technologies, and systems with the capacity to process SWLA & SETX waste glass
