Aim
Thousands of people are impacted daily by this evil act. Innocent, trustworthy, young, elderly, people are being scammed for thousands.
- She moved to Ohio to live out the remainder of her life by us, my wife finally has family in Ohio that she can visit just down the road. The joy this brings to my face is unmatched. The joy this brings my wife is so wonderful to watch. Then the unthinkable hits. Financial scammers infiltrated the crunchy, tough, strong exterior of a 75 year old powerhouse. While its very easy to say, "they shouldn't have fallen for it" its not that easy in the aftermath. Often once the scam has been completed, there is no reversing it. Elderly individuals are being scammed for thousands of dollars in the click of a button, being convinced that they are in trouble and need to act swiftly. Have you ever been in a fight or flight scenario? Logic has a difficult time coming online when your in panic mode. Emotion takes over and you do what you need to do to protect yourself, sometimes making regrettable choices. Your computer is beeping loudly telling you you're in jeopardy, in the click of a button you can get it to stop. I want it to stop now, I click the button. The purpose of this page is not to make excuses, but to get back at the scammers. To prove to the world that good can overcome evil. The aftermath of a scenario like this is depression, sadness, feelings of stupidity. The aftermath of this could mean significant life changes including this person having to go live in another state with family to feel financially secure. The deep sadness my wife is experiencing knowing this may be the only option is crushing me. My goal for this campaign is to raise money so this person can pay their lot rent and stay. Even if its two more years time. Thats two more years of bonding my wife gets to have with her person. Two more years this person gets to enjoy the new space they have acquired, the new place they call home that they are happy in. I ask that you give whatever you are able. Every little bit helps. Please share this with your people, your churches, your book clubs. The further it goes the better we will do. I've set the fundraising goal to reflect an amount that will allow this person to stay put for years to come, to reestablish some semblance of savings when she has none.
