Help them get started
Your support makes a difference
Help me get my debut poetry collection, Even the Wolves, off Amazon and into readers’ hands — direct, signed, and out in the world.
My name is Eric Alan Marsh. I’m a musician and producer out of St. Paul, Minnesota, and after thirty years of putting other people’s music in front of strangers, I finally finished something of my own.
Even the Wolves is my debut collection of prose and poetry — 29 pieces written over a decade I barely made it through. Addiction, recovery, and a lot of cold Minnesota nights went into it. It’s real, it’s done, and it’s out in the world now.
Here’s where you come in.
The book is on Amazon, but Amazon takes 40% of every copy. To actually get this into readers’ hands — at events, in local shops, signed and direct — I need to buy physical copies myself at author cost. That’s the core of this campaign.
Here’s where the money goes:
• Print run — a working stock of copies at author cost, so I can sell and sign direct instead of handing Amazon 40%
• Creative production — paying the artist who built the photo and video library this whole campaign runs on; that work is done and deserves to be paid
• Marketing — a real push across the next seven weeks so the book reaches past my own circle
• Website — a home where people can find the work and order direct
• QR business cards — to hand out at readings, shops, and shows
• Awards & submissions — entry fees and physical copies for the Minnesota Book Awards and literary journals
• Shipping & mailing — getting copies to readers, reviewers, and shops
I’m not asking anyone to fund a dream in the abstract. The book exists. You can hold it. I’m asking for help bridging the gap between “it’s published” and “it’s actually in the world.”
Every copy you help me buy is one I can get directly to a reader. Every share helps, even if you can’t give.
