The EcoArts Festival brings dynamic performances, cutting-edge visual arts and engaging interactive activities to Governors Island for a free day-long festival on September 20, 2026, kicking off Climate Week NYC. The EcoArts Festival brings the arts and artists forward with solutions to climate change. The festival produces works that envision resilient pathways, reflect on earth futures and engage festival goers with possibility.
WHAT CONTRIBUTIONS SUPPORT
Donations compensate participating artists, selected by an independent panel from an open application process, supporting their work in the festival. Artichoke Dance Company is committed to paying artists for their work and contributions to society and to keeping the EcoArts Festival free and open to the public. Your contribution helps us achieve both.
WHY THE ARTS
Artichoke Dance Company believes that a cultural shift needs to occur in order for us, as a society, to meet the challenges of climate change and environmental degradation. This is where artists come in, to create possibility and shift culture. And we need many artists and cultural workers engaging with this work. This is why we produce the EcoArts Festival. By supporting it, you are contributing to that change.
