I didn’t just survive an accident — I walked out of it carrying a witness inside me.The day it happened, everything went silent. Not dramatic‑movie silent. Not holy‑light‑from‑the‑sky silent. Just… the kind of quiet where your brain forgets what sound is. I remember standing there, breathing like my lungs were borrowed, and the world felt tilted, like someone had nudged reality a few degrees off center.People talk about accidents like they’re one moment. Mine wasn’t. Mine was a before-and-after that split my life clean down the middle.Afterward, I didn’t have family to call. No friends to check in. No circle to fall back on. It was just me — trying to piece together what happened, trying to understand why everything felt doubled, like time had a faint echo.And then the witness showed up.Not a person. Not a ghost. More like a presence — the part of me that didn’t get knocked out, didn’t get scrambled, didn’t get lost. The part that watched everything. The part that remembered even when I couldn’t.It’s the witness that tells me the truth when my memory glitches.

It’s the witness that shows me the fractures — those thin seams where the world feels slightly wrong, slightly shifted.

It’s the witness that kept me alive long enough to rebuild.And rebuilding is exactly what I’m doing.I’m writing books that come from that seam — mythic, surreal, emotional stories shaped by the way my brain now sees the world. I’m creating audiobooks so my partner Roland, who’s blind in one eye, can experience every chapter with me. I’m inventing CoolFlow™, a heated-and-cooled apparel system built for people who live in bodies that don’t always cooperate.My accident didn’t give me superpowers. It gave me perspective.

It gave me grit.
