Help Bronx Special Kids launch an accessible mobile robotics lab so Bronx youth can build, code, compete, and explore STEM.
Bronx Special Kids Foundation is raising $15,000 to launch the first phase of an accessible mobile robotics program for young people in the Bronx.
We believe children should have opportunities to do more than watch technology - they should be able to build it, program it, test it, compete with it, and imagine where those skills could take them.

Our program will use the XRP robotics platform and the Iron Acres robotics challenge to introduce students to engineering, coding, teamwork, design, and problem-solving through hands-on learning. Students will work in teams to build and program robots, complete challenges, develop strategies, troubleshoot problems, and improve their designs.

Many schools and community organizations would like to offer robotics but do not have the equipment, staffing, or resources to build a complete program on their own.
Our goal is to create a reusable mobile lab that Bronx Special Kids can bring to schools, community-based organizations, camps, and neighborhood programs.

One mobile lab can travel across Bronx schools and community programs and serve multiple cohorts throughout the year.
The same equipment can serve one group after another, allowing every donation to support many young people over time.
Accessibility will be built into the program from the beginning. Bronx Special Kids has experience adapting activities for young people with different abilities, communication styles, sensory needs, and learning styles. Disabled and neurodivergent students will learn alongside their peers rather than being separated from high-quality STEM opportunities.

Funds raised through this campaign will help us purchase and prepare:
• XRP robots and backup robots
• Laptops and game controllers
• Robotics field and Iron Acres challenge materials
• Replacement parts, tools, batteries, and charging equipment
• Storage and transportation equipment for the mobile lab
• CAD and 3D-printing materials for student-designed components
• Accessibility and adaptive materials
• Instructor training and initial program setup
Our $15,000 goal will allow us to establish a strong first phase of the program. If we exceed our goal, additional funds will help us expand the number of robots and computers available, strengthen our equipment reserve, and serve more students.

We want this to become more than one robotics class.
Our vision is a sustainable Bronx robotics program that can operate through partnerships with schools, community organizations, camps, and other youth-serving programs. Over time, students will be able to progress from learning the basics of robotics and coding to autonomous programming, sensors, CAD, 3D printing, engineering design, and robotics competitions.
The equipment purchased through this campaign will remain with Bronx Special Kids Foundation and be reused across future programs.
Your support is helping us build something that can serve Bronx youth for years to come.

Whether you contribute $10, $50, $100, sponsor a piece of equipment, or simply share this campaign, you are helping put real technology into the hands of young people and giving them the opportunity to discover what they can build.
