Managing Your Pledge

Whether you're supporting a cause, project, or creative idea, this guide will help you manage your pledge effectively.

Can I Change My Pledge Amount?

No. Once you’ve made a pledge to a project, the amount cannot be changed. If you pledged more than intended and the project is still live, you can cancel your pledge and re-pledge with the correct amount.

How Do I Refund or Cancel My Pledge?

If your pledge has not yet been paid out to the project, you may be able to cancel it.

All pledges are subject to a 7-day clearing period.

This means you usually have 7 days after making a pledge to cancel it.

To cancel your pledge:

  1. Log into your Crowdfunder account and click the dropdown arrow next to your profile icon.
  2. Select ‘My Pledges’ to view and manage your payments.
  3. Click the plus sign (+) next to the pledge you wish to cancel.
  4. If the ‘Cancel Pledge’ button is visible, click it and follow the on-screen steps.

Your payment will be refunded to your original payment method within 5 working days.

Don’t see the ‘Cancel Pledge’ button?

  1. The funds may have already been sent to the project owner.
  2. In this case, contact our team for support.

Important

If the project is successful, your pledge will be transferred to the creator. If the project is not successful (e.g., it doesn't reach its goal on an "All or Nothing" campaign), your pledge will be refunded within 5–7 business days.

Guest Checkout Users

If you checked out as a guest:

  1. You'll need to sign up for a full account to manage or cancel your pledges.
  2. Visit the Forgotten Password page and enter the email address you used for your pledge.
  3. Follow the instructions in the email to activate your account.

Where Can I Track My Pledges?

You can view and manage your pledges under ‘My Pledges’ in your Crowdfunder account.

From there, you can:

  • View pledge and donation history
  • Cancel a pledge (if eligible)
  • Send a message to the project creator
  • Switch your pledge between anonymous and public

Reminder

When you pledge, funds leave your account immediately but are held by our payment provider until the project qualifies for payout.

What If the Project Isn’t Successful?

If the project you supported does not succeed:

  • Your payment will be automatically refunded within 7 working days of the project’s close.
  • This applies to:
    • Projects on the All or Nothing model that don’t meet their goal
    • Projects that are cancelled by the creator

Will I Receive a Receipt?

Yes. You will receive:

  1. A confirmation email immediately after pledging or donating
  2. A second email once the project ends, confirming whether it was successful

You can also view your pledge details under ‘My Pledges’ in your account.

Didn’t get the confirmation email? Check your spam/junk folder.

Note

While we don’t issue formal invoices, you can contact the project creator for additional documentation.
