When will I get the money pledged to my project?

I want to withdraw my funds

We’ve made it easier for project creators to manage payouts – so you have more control over when you receive your money.

You can get your funds deposited into your bank account within 14 days of receiving your first pledge.

Key info at a glance:

  • Eligibility
Your project must meet certain requirements – like verified bank info, cleared pledges, and (if you're using the All or Nothing model) hitting your fundraising goal.
  • Payout Preferences
Choose how often you want to be paid (weekly or monthly) and manage payouts right from your dashboard.
  • Managing Payouts
Once you're eligible, you’ll see payout options in your dashboard. If not, please email us at [email protected].

Understanding payouts & eligibility

To start receiving payouts, make sure your project meets these criteria:

  • Your bank and financial details must be verified.
  • For All or Nothing: You must meet your fundraising target.
  • For Keep What You Raise: You need to raise at least $2.
  • Your project must be live for at least 7 days and have cleared pledges.

Note:Pledges usually take 7 days to clear before the money becomes available to you.

Choosing your payout settings

When setting up your project, you’ll be able to choose one of the following:

1. Enable weekly payouts

  • All or Nothing: Weekly payouts begin once your goal is hit and pledges are cleared.
  • Keep What You Raise: Payouts begin once your first pledge clears.

2. Enable payouts later

  • Manually start payouts from your dashboard once you’re eligible.

Once payouts are processed, you’ll be responsible for handling any refunds directly, as we no longer hold the funds.

Managing payouts from your dashboard

When your project is live, you’ll see a banner on your dashboard with your payout status.

Once your first payout is ready, you’ll get an email. You can then manage your payouts from the Payouts tab.

Starting payouts

  • If you selected weekly payouts when setting up your project, you don’t need to do anything else. You’ll be notified when the first payout is scheduled.
  • If you chose Enable Payouts Later, click the ‘Start Payouts’ button when you’re ready to receive funds.

Not ready to receive your funds yet? No problem. You can wait to click the ‘Start Payouts’ button. However, we can’t hold your funds indefinitely – if you don’t start the payout manually, it will be sent automatically within 30 days of your campaign closing or switching to Always On.

Setting or changing your payout frequency

  • Weekly: Choose your preferred day (e.g. Monday, Tuesday).
  • Monthly: Choose the day of the month (1st–28th).

Payouts take up to 7 days to arrive in your account after processing.

Tip: For the fastest payout, pick the next available business day.

Once you’ve chosen your payout schedule, click ‘Save and start payouts’ to activate it. Your dashboard will then show payout frequency, status, and a breakdown of pending and completed payouts.

Pause function: Need to hold off?

You can pause your payouts for up to 30 days. This might be useful if:

  • You’re waiting for your project to finish
  • You're finalizing a lease or contract
  • You're preparing for an auction or event

Click the ‘Pause’ button to stop any upcoming payouts that haven’t started processing yet.

Paused for more than 30 days? We can’t pause payouts indefinitely. If your project closes or switches to Always On and payouts have been paused for 30+ days, they will be sent automatically. Reach out to us if you need help or more time.

To restart payouts, just click ‘Resume payouts’ in your dashboard.

Payout reports

You can view a summary of your payouts in the Reports section of your dashboard. This will show how much you've received and how it will appear on your bank statement.

Once your project closes or switches to Always On, you’ll also see a full summary in the Overview section of your project dashboard.
