Aim

Empowering youth in grades 3–12 with tools for healthy relationships to prevent abuse early and break generational cycles through workshops

My name is Bobbie Benton, founder of Ascend Advocacy Agency. I am a survivor, advocate, and professional dedicated to helping individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.

Ascend Advocacy Agency was created from both lived experience and professional expertise. I know what it feels like to need support and not receive it, and I made a commitment to ensure others would never feel alone in that way.

Alongside a passionate and purpose-driven team of volunteers, partners, and community supporters, we provide education, advocacy, and safe spaces for healing and growth.

OUR VISION 

Our vision is to break generational cycles of abuse by educating youth early about healthy and unhealthy relationships.

We focus on boys and girls in grades 3–12 because this is where beliefs about love, respect, and boundaries begin to form.

By teaching emotional regulation, communication, self-worth, and relationship awareness, we are working to prevent abuse before it starts, not just respond to it after harm has already occurred.

We envision a future where:

 • Youth understand what healthy relationships look like

• Survivors feel supported and empowered

• Communities are educated and proactive

• Abuse is reduced because prevention becomes the norm

 HOW WE WILL USE THE FUNDS

The funds raised will directly support the continuation and expansion of our free workshops.

Your support will help us:

• Provide stipends for guest speakers, facilitators, and professionals who bring valuable knowledge and lived experience

• Supply meals and refreshments to create a welcoming and safe environment for participants

• Purchase workshop materials such as journals, activity kits, educational resources, and creative supplies

• Cover event setup costs including decorations, printing, and space preparation

• Expand our programming to reach more youth and communities

• Support outreach efforts to ensure those who need these services can access them

Every dollar goes toward creating impactful, life-changing experiences for the youth and families we serve.
