Better Health Through Understanding Your Own Data

Company Overview

As Co-Founder of 23andMe, Linda Avey had many questions about health that could not be answered by genetic data alone. For instance:

  • How much sleep is the right amount for me?
  • Which diet gives me sufficient energy and keeps me at a healthy weight?
  • What are all the factors that lead to autism?
  • What can I do to protect against Alzheimer's Disease?

Now with Curious, Linda and team (including advisor Stephen Wolfram, legendary mathematician and data scientist) have built a platform to help answer these questions and more.

By combining all of your data sources -- including genetics, wearable devices, lab test results and electronic medical records -- into a single, secure platform, personalized answers are now achievable.

Curious allows you, for free, to join with a community of like-minded people to crowdsource not only questions, but also tracking strategies that may lead to answers to our most pressing questions as individuals and as a society.

Research Liaison, Bateman Horne Center
"For too long, patients' inability to contribute directly to research studies has stymied progress. The Curious platform provides a direct conduit of data that can transform our understanding of this complex disease that affects the lives of over 2.5 million people in the US yet receives very little research funding."

Founder, COMPASS (autism tracking)
"Thanks to Curious, parents of children with autism can easily track things that might influence their kids' behavior and performance— the environment, diet, sleep—to identify patterns that could lead to important insights for treatment. The social aspect of the platform could give us answers to many of our still unanswered questions about this complex disorder."
