Designed and produced the name and logo for Sandcastles Technology, Inc. Applied for and successfully received a US PATENT on this technology. Developed the initial business plans and various financial forecasts. Developed and circulated the Private Offering Memorandum for investors. Currently overseeing every aspect of this corporate Start-Up launch.
Founded NuTech Digital in 1997 and served as Chairman and C.E.O. Developed NuTech into a leading independent producer and distributor of original and licensed content on DVD and various emerging digital channels. Created and achieved revenue quotas via traditional channels of distribution. Developed additional revenue streams from the exploitation of new technologies. Helped NuTech develop a proprietary “expandable” back-end DRM solution. Supported by Microsoft's Window's Media 9, this DRM software package integrated inventory control, royalty calculation, payment processing and VOD. Also expanded the distribution of catalog and new programming through voice recognition devices, audio ring tones and video streaming through mobile phones. Interfaced directly with most of the video industry's largest retailers. Launched the highly-profitable Platinum Concert Series of live concert productions. Also instrumental in securing programming from WEA, broadcast sales with HD.Net and In-Demand, and third party sublicensing for international distribution.
Co-founded Image Entertainment in 1980 to distribute video programming. Responsible for business development, licensing, and product fulfillment. Directly approached and secured a team of international partner manufacturers, negotiated the licensing agreements with over 100 studios, developed sales relationships with major retailers, and raised $6,000,000 from Mitsubishi/Mitsui. Also instrumental in interviewing, hiring and managing of over 100 employees. Left Image in 1993 as the major contributor to an annual sales plateau that had steadily grown to over $60,000,000.
