Arka graduated with a BS in Computer Science from UC Berkeley, and was recruited out of college to work at Xbox (was there for 5 years).Arka helped game developers integrate Xbox Live into games such as Grand Theft Auto IV, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Street Fighter IV, and Fallout 3 as a Program Manager and Evangelist. Later, as a Lead BizDev Manager for Xbox Live's digital marketplace, Arka pitched and negotiated deals with several publishers including Activision, Ubisoft, WB, EA, Rockstar, 2K, and Sega to make their games and DLC available on the store. Arka also designed and led the implementation of a system to ingest and distribute content to any Web-connected device over Xbox Live, which was originally designed to purely service the Xbox console. This resulted in a yearly revenue increase of > $20M for XBL.
