Providing Housing Solutions to Corporations and Workers
Lisa loves putting together business ventures that everyone benefits from. She founded a corporate housing company (ELF Homes) in 2007, and it has grown into a portfolio of properties in strategic markets throughout the United States. Lisa is the Founder and President of ELF Homes. Her responsibilities include all company operations. She began ELF Homes under the name Green Stay California in 2007, and subsequently built it into the most successful executive housing company in the South San Francisco Bay Area. She previously served as Senior Director of Marketing at Vuclip, Senior Program Manager for PayPal Canada, and Engineering Manager for Apple Computers. She has managed two other successful technology start-ups. Initially a software engineer, Loud moved to web site design and started heavily interacting with clients. Shes carried that background and drive for customer delight into ELF Homes, setting the tone for the daily operations with precision and intuition. Her motivation has always been the satisfaction she derives from solving problems for people. As President of ELF Homes, I oversee operations for all of our properties throughout the United States, including hotels, single family homes, and condominiums. This includes managing our portfolio of hotels and collaborating with our partners such as Expedia, InnLink, Booking.com, and Homeaway.
Champion of Vuclip's marketing strategy, social media strategy, and messaging to both the in-crowd and the unconverted masses. Chimer in on product design and UX from the beginning stages. Dabbles in website design, SEO, and any other interesting projects in the office. In a nutshell: an incorrigible generalist.
Coordinate online properties, SEO, marketing strategy, communications, and more for this online news and media company.
When I started at PayPal, we had no online Canada presence. The solution? Adapt the PayPal US brand and launch an entire new website across a matrixed organization. I was responsible for managing the Canada launch and executing its many marketing campaigns. This included getting releases out on time and lining up brand adaptation and messaging, producing reports and analysis of the result - working with marketing emails, onsite banners, traffic analysis, and blog design. I define product goals and drive results across multiple development and webdev teams, interface with partners, and coordinate marketing efforts.
I developed product direction and test marketed a Web 2.0 baby boomer site (Drumtable) for several startups with Monvia, an incubator company. Other projects included Mobibucks - a mobile wallet payment solution that uses the cell phone, and PeerDreams, a fundraising website that "changes the game".
Avyva provides custom online solutions, including websites, cms, online registration systems, database programming, graphic design, and response testing and analysis. In this role, I interfaced with clients and worked with a team of designers and coders to provide custom solutions.
Windows Newton Connection Utility from pre-alpha to ship.
Before Claris was renamed to Filemaker, I worked there as a software engineer, and eventually as development manager for Claris Home Page 2.0 After the company changed to Filemaker, I stayed on as a contractor, doing database design and implementation.
As a C++ and Delphi software engineer I worked on the core database engine shipping with Delphi, dBASE, and Paradox. I reverse-engineered our FOX index import functionality, wrote several versions of a complete configuration utility to ship with every product, and ran the cross-functional compatibility group.
