Previous to this, I founded LeisureLink, the leading global reservation network for booking vacation rentals.
ReserveX is a content aggregation switch for event ticketing providers. We utilize location based services to assist venues in selling distressed inventory.

LeisureLink is the leading global reservation network for the vacation rental industry. LeisureLink pioneered direct connect interfaces to the GDSs (Sabre, Worldspan & Galileo) which now provides the vacation rental industry with the same global reach that was previously the exclusive domain of large hotel chains. I was responsible for identifying the market opportunity, establishing the product vision, forming the company, raising investment capital, recruitment, establishing distribution partnerships and overseeing the technology implementation. Co-Founded the company with the goal of creating an online travel service specifically for the Canadian market. The company grew rapidly and was later acquired by Sears Canada. I was the acting CTO for the company and assisted in taking the company from product concept to one of Canada's leading online travel companies within 2 years. I joined GetThere (Internet Travel Network) relatively early and was responsible for expanding the leisure product strategy. As a small company, opportunity came knocking and the company decided to re-focus from expanding the leisure product to focusing on developing an airline booking system. I then assisted in developing the United Airlines booking system including a yield management system called EFares. Specific responsibilities included: *Establish and manage programs with outside consultants and user test groups to evaluate usability and derive basic functional and aesthetic guidelines *Collaborated with the corporate product group in leveraging common functionality to be shared across leisure, corporate & airline product markets *Evaluation of new technologies and third party products to extend the overall functionality and reach of the system Accomplishments: *Established overall leisure product strategy, business model and technology applications *Development of United Airlines functional requirements to provide market specific, Web discounts called "E-Fares" *Development of the GetThere airline product strategy
Jetset had developed a very interesting dynamic package booking engine and partnered with Expedia at the time to deploy the capabilty for consumers to design their own custom vacation packages. I worked as a consultant to guide the company through the intial product development stages.
WebReservations was one of the first web booking services developed for Sabre travel agencies.
