Responsible for the development from the ground up of Looop, a transaction data integration platform for the delivery of real-time analytics-based services to enable all parties of the payment ecosystem - Banks, Merchants, Acquirers - to discover new ways to increase profitability. ERNs technology was implemented as a horizontally scalable, distributed platform using proven Open Source infrastructure tools like CentOS, Java, Apache Zookeeper, ZeroMQ and CouchDB. The platform took 7 months to be developed and is now a mobile loyalty solution integrated into the POS Service for The Retail Data Partnership (TRDP) and is in the POC phase at several Financial Institutions in Europe and Asia.
Responsible for ITRSs product and technology vision, strategic direction, research, development and product support. While leading a team of 60 engineers, created a development hub in Manila that worked hand in hand with the team in London, brought client insight to the delivery process, designed and delivered a new visualization infrastructure to deliver a mobile solution as well as to provide the basis for a new architecture and the creation for version 2.0 of the ITRS flagship: Geneos - an Application Performance Management (APM) platform for real-time, high-volume, high-availability trading infrastructures.
Provided vision and hands-on tactical development for start-ups, as an application architect and software developer, including White Sky Inc., a security software start-up that has revolutionized the way enterprises connect with their users. Constant Guard Protection Suite is Comcasts version of this.
During my 10 years at Intuit I led the delivery of critical infrastructure solutions like Open Financial Exchange (OFX) as part of a joint effort with Microsoft and CheckFree; program managed the creation from the ground up of Intuits Data Center in San Diego to support the delivery of Intuits first version of Web Turbo Tax (within three months); built a Central Engineering organization (about 150 strong) that, among other things, was responsible for research and development of internet-based services and connectivity infrastructure across all consumer products.
Responsible for Misys' Trading System technology vision, strategic direction, research, development and product support. I led a team of 80 software engineers across Luxembourg, Birmingham and London, responsible for 2 products: FIST/Market Watch Real-Time Trading Systems Platform and, Trade Innovation (TI), an advanced international trade finance solution. Both systems were developed all from the ground up. Misys' Trading System technology was implemented as a suite of applications running under a highly resilient, real-time, multi-platform (Unix, VMS and Windows) distributed platform, deployed across 200 sites around the word.
