Venka Pillay is Managing Director & Founder of Artemiz Innovations Sdn Bhd. Mr. Pillay has extensive business development and systems engineering experience in the North American defense & space sector. In addition to leading Artemiz, He developed a unique framework for an integrated geospatial surveillance system that brings together UAV(drone) and Satellite imagery with patents in 5 countries and granted in the USA. Mr. Pillay has a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He also earned a post-graduate certification in Space Systems Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, USA and an Innovation and Entrepreneurship certificate from Stanford University, USA.
Responsibilities include: - Business development activities to secure 'waste to energy' projects within Malaysia and internationally; - Promoting proprietary technology for gasification of wet waste such as palm oil Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB) or Municipal Solid Waste (MSW); - Negotiations with local or foreign government regulators, contractors and customers; - Feasibility assessments of prospective projects, including facilitating discussions with investors, financiers and project partners.
Leading the commercialisation of various defense and space ventures in Malaysia, including the development of Nano Satellite constellations for geospatial missions and beyond-line-of-sight communications.
