For over 15 years I have built a web design and illustration business with my gorgeous wife Amy. We have 6 beautiful children who keep us living each day. Over a year ago, because of unforeseen circumstances I lost complete access to two of my children. I love them dearly and It was not my desire nor intent to lose them. Not wanting this to shape our lives and define our outcome, we have chosen to pick ourselves up and dust off. We are now pushing toward one of the greatest projects aside from our family, that we have ever engaged in. We are deciding our future and this is only one avenue to accomplish this task. I am eager to innovate, take risks, and possess a powerful attribute to dream up new concepts with the belief they will alter the flow of events in the Universe. I have been in sales and marketing for over 8 years and have always been a top producer. My diverse skills and abilities enable me to be a strength in many aspects of this project. I have been in positions from Door-to-door Salesman, Regional Sales Manager, as well as Director of Accounts. Focus on business development in an untested market. Built relationships and partnerships with national ad agencies. Account Executive over all 8fish accounts. Organized, maintained, developed, and oversaw existing and new client relationships including Pfizer, Wells Fargo, Batman, Macys, Tetco, Maverick, Phoenix Zoo, Bountiful Mazda. Cold-calls and face-to-face capability presentations. Built a book of business of $80,000 in first 4 months resulting in double or triple over monthly goals, and 15%-20% yearly revenue increase.
Business development role running a full desk in executive bank recruiting. Managed 10+ sales people, CRM and ATS implementation, and side projects for the company. B2B, D2D, B2C, outbound cold-calling, online webinars, and social media campaigns. Placed a VP of Risk Management; a VP Credit Manager; as well as a Bank President in a 100 year old community bank. Top Producer of 10-15 extraordinary sales people. My greatest accomplishment was losing a bank presidents business, gaining it back through trust and persistence, placing a candidate in one of the most difficult cities in my area, and then getting an email from him that said, Thank you, you are one of the most tenacious people I have ever met. Until the bank crash of Aug 2008, I was into my second quarter with over $180,000 in revenue to the company from my placements putting me second in that quarter behind a top veteran recruiter.
Supervised the Illustration department including two professionals: managed hiring, problem solving, process improvement. Built an art and marketing department from the ground up. Positioned as liaison between illustrators, buyers, and our Chinese sourcing agency. Supervised illustration including: Product displays, boxes, backer cards, pricing tags, marketing slicks, and packaging design. 50-60 projects per month between 3 illustrators never late.
