I've been with DeepFlight since 2000, starting as an entry level design engineer and quickly moving up to principal mechanical engineer. I played a vital role in the development of all of DeepFlight's major projects and prototypes. Through these projects, I also gained a unique awareness and appreciation for the potential of DeepFlight technology in recreational markets, and was elevated to the position of President and COO in January 2013. Since that time I have lead the company through successfully finishing a major commercial contract with Bluefin Robotics, and negotiated the sale of two DeepFlight units for private clients. I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley and speak fluent Mandarin.
As President and COO of DeepFlight, my primary role is to help the company realize its mission statement: to unlock the underwater world to human access.
Led the mechanical team to design and build multiple generations of DeepFlight submarines.
