I'm a Managing Partner in Bridge 37 Ventures. Bridge 37 is a Venture Capital firm investing in entrepreneurs who innovate and disrupt and whom can envision doing business globally. We believe that operating with a global context is fundamental and necessary to achieve colossal scale. I am a Silicon Valley native with deep tech company roots. I am passionate about imagination, creation of things that didn't exist before, the unlimited potential of people and ideas, anything that takes place in the outdoors, particularly in fresh water, and my incredible family. I've created 15 start-up teams in 11 countries. I consider myself multicultural having lived in 8 countries and worked in 25. So, I have broad industry contacts who are able to provide market access. I understand and appreciate the nuances of emerging markets, cultures and languages based on 22 years immersed in foreign countries. I have built and directed start-ups and start-up teams as well as large, complex organizations driving multibillion dollars of revenue. I instilled in those teams habits that are indicator-lead that lead to results. My functional experience spans the manufacturing line to the brand, engineering development to CEO, channel development and sales to Chairman of the Board. I am a strategist. I love to synthesize. I set the pace. I am enthusiastically optimistic! I speak Spanish, Brasilian Portuguese (good enough) & English (native language).
The value proposition of CPI is to provide an efficient, clinically useful early warning of inadequate blood flow and a therapeutic guide to help prevent the cascade of severe sepsis and multiple organ failure leading to death. The Company is a late-stage development organization that has designed a Gastric Tissue Reactance Monitoring system and a disposable catheter embedded within standard nasogastric feeding tube that can be beneficial to the more than 5 million patients are admitted annually to ICUs in the United States . Our minimally-invasive system directly monitors tissue perfusion and injury in the gastric mucosa for the early warning of the onset of hypoperfusion. When used in the ICU, the Company believes patient outcomes will improve by accelerating the timing and administration of the desired therapy to prevent complications directly related to severe sepsis and multiple organ failure. The Companys first product will be marketed through a direct sales force backed by a team of clinical specialists. This technology has been in development for nine years and has been evaluated in animals and three separate clinical trials involving up to 170 human patients. CPI holds a very strong patent portfolio giving it a strong competitive advantage and securing freedom to operate.

I created and managed outsourcing strategy for platform definition, development and delivery of new products. I led the business-platform development of the Affordable PC, India Rural PC and the Classmate PC, an affordable education notebook PC thats sells in the millions of units globally and inspired the highly successful netbook consumer category. Co-authored the globally successful Intel World Ahead Program which aims to deliver un-compromised technology to developing communities worldwide. I defined business agreements that aligned ecosystem partners with Intel products and services, licensed technologies and provided global contract oversight.

Increased revenue four-fold in four years. Doubled distribution channel volume and increased market share by over 30% via effective branding and promotion of local branded PCs. Created a strategic alliance with Telmex to sell PCs using installment payments that resulted in expanding the market size by 30%. Lived in Colombia and Mexico five years to initiate sales, marketing, distribution channel and government affairs for the Andean and Central America countries and opened the first Intel office in Bogot
Living in Hong Kong 3 years I directed Asia Pacific regional marketing, defining product pricing, advertising and sales and marketing strategies. I also established Intels first China distributors as well as defined and developed unique platforms for China usage models. While based in the USA, I had responsibility for product marketing of the Intel 386SX microprocessor during its era of being the highest sales volume product in Intel history. Also held post of web master and marketing manager of intel.com, leading on-line marketing strategy of Intels first multi-media microprocessor architecture.
