NYSE Euronext is currently in the process of re-launching a global network of sites that includes 7 business sites, 6 retail investing sites, a corporate site, and 40 marketing microsites. My team of 35 editors, writers, and content producers working in the 6 countries the Exchange operates, program this global network of sites. As the Global Head of Programming my role is to assist in launching this network of sites and to develop the editorial voice of NYSE Euronext. My team is responsible for building community around the NYSE Euronext properties, and to champion social media initiatives. While here, we have focused on growing a wide breadth of writers from within the Exchange talking about niche products, and have greatly amplified the voice of C-level executive.
While in this position I was in charge of managing all software and product development for the NHL. In this role I ran all software development activities for NHL.com and all of our related products. Major focus was around social media and community building. Some of the key projects we released while I was at the NHL include: ? GameCenter Live Designed and rolled out our latest version of the NHLs flagship online streaming game product focusing on increased video playback and better DVR controls. ? 30 Club Websites Lead the NHL team to roll out new websites for all 30 teams within the NHL. This included built in CMS functionality, new designs, and customizable modules for each team. ? Facebook Integration Lead our implementation of Facebooks Connect and Social Plugins. The NHL was one of their key partners that had pre-beta access to roll out this functionality at Facebooks 2010 f8 conference. This increased our Fan count from 280K to 450K in 2 weeks. ? NHL Fans Took over an at risk project to create a unified league wide message board and social media platform. Have been able to steadily grow the user bases of these communities. ? NHL Video Center Rolled out a new video player which greatly increased ad revenue and video starts. We also included new social media share tools which greatly increased our video shares. Within 2 weeks of execution 5 videos were on the top 10 of all video starts in NHL history. ? SEO Implemented SEO best practices which drove our search visits up 48% YOY and made our teams, players, and tentpole events 1st or 2nd in Google searches around these terms.
NIAID is the 2nd largest of 27 centers that make up the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Perot Systems has a 145 Million dollar contact that provides a complete range of IT services to the institute including desktop support, network engineering, and application development. We have approximately 120 associates and about 30 PSGS subcontractors supporting the contract. I was responsible for: ? Managing a group of 62 people, 7 team leads, and 2 Project Managers. ? Was listed as a Key Personnel and a key contributor in creating a proposal to win a 5 year $145 Million contract including writing, creating graphics, and strategizing win scenarios. ? Utilized MS Project to ensure delivery of 30+ ongoing projects, primarily in ASP.NET, C#/VB.NET with SQL Server databases. ? Managed the hiring process, evaluate employee performance, determine salaries and bonuses, and ensure proper training. ? Implemented new procedures and policies to streamline development process
At Edgesource, I was responsible for business development in the Federal marketplace. We pursued business development avenues including creating proposals, bidding on RFPs, collaborating with contracting officers, and creating a small business partnership program. Among my accomplishments while at Edgesource were winning two major multi-year contracts with the State Department, and designing and implemented a new candidate database system, Out Recruit.
Perot Systems had a contract combining the car rental systems of Alamo and National rental agencies. I was a software developer on this large-scale development project. I also managed accountability for the A&D phase of the project. I also was tasked with creating a key component of system - GMI2 that dynamically integrated General Motors invoices into the car rental fleet accounting system.
