We provide information to enable 14Million Cameroonian farmers make vital decisions that enhance their wealth & and preserve ecosystems.
I am a Social Entrepreneur, and son of a farmer who never made their fair share of wealth in practicing agriculture. My research on why farmers work so hard but earn so little fueled my passion to devote my energies to a new generation of farming families and do my fair share in bringing about Social Justice to these deprived groups. I love peace, write poems and preach for Peace.
Cameroonian farmers produce much food, yet millions starve. We target the obstacle (access to information) that separates farmers from consumers. Tons of unsold food farmers bring to the market goes to feed scavenging animals while needy human populations in Cameroon's arid north endure extreme hunger and starvation. The lack of information about pest control & good farming practices affect 14 million farmers who lose their crop annually, & results in famine that affects over 60 million people
The Agricultural Market Information Services(AMIS) is an NGO brings farmers and consumers together for mutual benefits. It provides farmers with information they need to carry out their trade successfully and informs them on markets where they can sell their produce profitably We give farmers support by giving them information on training workshops and seminars that enable them carry out their professions in a sustainable manner. At AMIS our duty is to deliver online information directly to mobile phones of rural populations who have been cheated by new technologies that they cant afford. We use our online presence to enhance trust and protect people desirous of doing business with Cameroonian Farmers.
