Mr. Steinthal is the Founder and President of the Company. Mr. Steinthal has extensive background in lasers, optics, sol gel chemistry and in chemical sensing technologies. With over 20 years of industry experience in technology commercialization, Steinthal launched his career as an entrepreneur immediately out of graduate school developing novel infrared sensing technology in Santa Barbara, CA . As the first employee, this venture was later acquired by a Fortune 200 Company. Shortly thereafter, Steinthal teamed with a CalTech start-up in the Pasadena, CA area developing and commercializing the world's first hand held electronic "nose" as Director of Engineering / Product Development managing a team of leading scientist and engineers as well as multiple government contracts with agencies such as DARPA, the Army Research Lab (ARL), Marine Corp., NAVAIR, FAA, Homeland Security, et al.. This Company was also then later acquired by a medium sized defense contractor. Steinthal has published several technical papers and has had over a dozen patents issued.
