Story Plant Media (SPM) is a production and creative development company that focuses on developing books, owned and published by SPM - third of which have appeared on bestseller lists - into full-production podcasts, theater, television, and film.

It is an inarguable fact that books provide the most robust source of content for other media. But getting books into the production pipeline can often be laborious and frustrating. Without ample connections, resources, and industry knowledge, there is limited potential for authors to succeed and navigate that pipeline.

At Story Plant Media we are all about changing that.

Lou Aronica, a NY Times Best-Selling Author, and Mitchell Maxwell, a Tony Award-Winning Broadway Producer, have extensive backgrounds of successfully bringing content to a variety of media. Together, they have created a unique go-to-market strategy using podcasts and other proof-of-concept models to qualify a story’s traction with its audience before developing those stories into full productions.

Currently, SPM has three ongoing projects:

1. This Is Rage - Since August, the first three episodes have been downloaded more than a quarter of a million times, ranking it within the top 1% of all podcasts in the world.

2. Tarnished Notes - Small budget film. SPM has signed a distribution deal with Petri Entertainment, and Petri will be shopping the film to television networks in the late fall as well as making it available through streaming and video-on-demand services.

3. Little Did I Know - The first full-scale musical podcast in history, featuring music by an Oscar and Grammy winning lyricist and a Tony-winning composer.

Story Plant Media is tearing down the barrier on how typical theater, television, and film productions are created. We want to become a premier creator of quality entertainment from origination in book form all the way through to production for screen and stage. With a team of award-winning experts, a model to prove our projects' traction, and successful properties that are already in our business cycle, Story Plant Media is poised to grow its existing and future properties into lucrative premier productions.
