Securifi sells user friendly touch screen routers that also have support for IoT/home automation.
Securifi’s Almond revolutionized wireless router setup with its easy to use Touchscreen Interface in 2012. Now our Almond 2015 and Almond+ are making the Internet of Things dream a reality.
Founder, Ram Malasani (IIT Madras and UCSD alum) founded Ubiquiti Networks (currently worth $2.8B on NASDAQ) which he bootstrapped until they reached $100M in revenue. He left to start what is now Securifi.
How it began :
"In 2010, I was helping someone who had forgotten their WiFi admin password to reset it and it took me 20-30 min. At that point I realized that screens were becoming cheaper (driven by Android phone sales) and so I thought why not put one on the router to make it easier to use.
That led to the original Almond which we announced in Jan '12 and started shipping in June '12. We eventually realized that the router could be very strategic in the IoT space and announced Almond+ at CES 2013"
