Indoor Air Quality impacts the overall health of the world’s population!
According to World Health Organization, indoor air pollution is responsible for 1.6 million pre-mature deaths annually. With most Americans spending 90%+ of their time indoors, it is imperative that technological advances be made to improve indoor air quality. Current air filtration technology methods do not address small airborne particles/pathogens, which are responsible for most acute and chronic illnesses. In fact, these small particles tend to travel deep into lungs and brain.
In the United States, our healthcare system has migrated, for the better, from a volume-based system to a value-based system, wherein, emphasis is focused on improving clinical outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction and lowering the cost of care. Consequently, we are seeing a reduction in the incidences and costs for hypertension, heart disease and cancer. However, morbidity and mortality associated with pulmonary disorders have not declined, rather, they are on the rise. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that more than 1.7 million patients annually acquire an infection while hospitalized in the U.S. for other health problems. The effort to treat those infected adds over $40+ billion to healthcare costs every year. Currently, almost all hospitals (over 5,800) in the United States are in need of a high-efficiency “Active” air filtration system that captures and inactivates harmful airborne pathogens.
To address this critical problem, SecureAire has developed and patented an innovative and disruptive electrically enhanced system, now known as ACTIVE Particle Control TechnologyTM. ACTIVE Particle Control is an air purification process that controls the transport of airborne pathogens and contaminants. The design of air purification systems utilizing this technology will not only increase the overall quality of indoor air but also prevent the spread of disease while also reducing energy costs.
SecureAire is looking to raise the funds required to rapidly deploy ACTIVE Particle Control Technology for hospitals and healthcare providers. Our technology will remove all airborne pathogens, including bacteria and viruses, considered responsible for diseases of the lung and brain, in addition to being one of the leading contributors of hospital-acquired infections. In addition to healthcare markets, SecureAire’s ACTIVE Particle Control will improve overall indoor air quality in commercial, industrial and residential markets as well.
To this end, SecureAire has assembled a seasoned management team with extensive experience in air filtration technologies, clinicians with experience in hospital quality, and experts in delivering solutions to the HVAC marketplace. Independent testing has demonstrated our technical capabilities in a live hospital operating room. (Figure 1).
Our approach is innovative and disruptive, as we propose to change the paradigm of indoor air quality standards and implement solutions that are beneficial to patients and healthcare providers in hospitals.Successful deployment of our technology will result in the improvement of human health through the lowering of Hospital Acquired Infection Rates and disease prevention thereby lowering the overall economic burden due to indoor air pollution.
SecureAire is an early stage venture company with patent-protected technology that will radically change the way air is filtered in hospitals, office buildings, and millions of homes around the world.
The implications for saving lives by reducing hospital acquired infection alone are immense.
The company has steadily increased revenue for the past five years and is on track to achieve over $1,500,000 in sales in 2018. Anticipated revenues for 2019 are over $5,500,000.
The company is currently raising $1,500,000 in a limited 506(c) SAFE offering from select investors.
The likely investor exit will be an acquisition by a major player in the air filtration or HVAC space based on severely limited innovation in this sector and the attractiveness of the breakthrough SecureAire technology.
