At Revel, we’re introducing an entirely new interaction with your personal calendar and a whole new dimension to how you discover activities and events you care about. Revel is a cloud-based platform that takes the form of a calendar but is so much more. We believe that events start conversations, and as Revel ‘Lights up Cities’, our users will add the calendars they care about and engage with them in a far deeper way. Revel delivers these outside calendars as “Calendar Channels” to which users then subscribe. Examples of Channels include: LA Lakers, Hollywood Bowl, local food truck festivals, AYSO schedules and local schools.
Furthermore, Revel knows its users well and delivers smart recommendations at the right time without the ‘in-your-face’ marketing. The user experience will be free, whilst business partners will pay for promotion, placement, transactions and analytical tools. Revel will first appear as a native iOS app with web and Android following closely behind. It will be rolled out geographically starting in Los Angeles and other key cities will follow.
