Why We Started This Company

Initially, I started Poctor out of frustration as a practicing physician with healthcare's current outdated communication methods. I wanted a better way to communicate with my colleagues and more importantly my patients. It became clear that security, encryption and HIPAA compliance were key weaknesses in the current mobile communication options and thus we set out to address these problems with Poctor Inc.

What Sets Us Apart

Poctor offers the over 1 million U.S. healthcare providers and their 240 million adult patients the ability to communicate easily and securely. Our solution provides two distinct advantages: our core focus on patient-provider communication, and our patent-pending network, specifically designed for healthcare and HIPAA security compliance.

Individual state mandates supersede federal HIPAA regulations with respect to electronic protected health information (ePHI). The Poctor Secure Network (PSN) was built from the ground up to be a secure, geographically distributed data network.

By utilizing the PSN your company or organization can simultaneously manage state-to-state and federal privacy laws without the risk of unintentionally breaking laws at either jurisdiction. You can never prevent someone from trying to steal your organization’s sensitive data but with PSN’s patent-pending architecture, the data is fully encrypted and safeguarded giving you piece of mind. Poctor's proprietary network architecture allows us to dynamically manage federal and state mandates for the secure transportation and storage of electronic protected health information (ePHI).

Our Keys To Success

The key to our success starts with the Poctor Secure Network (PSN). We will gain a massive advantage once our intellectual property is successfully prosecuted (patented) with the U.S. PTO, as early as the end of 2016. Our Poctor team has domain expertise covering the healthcare industry, mobile/web application development, and encryption/security. Our biggest challenge will be product differentiation and market penetration in the face of growing competition.
