Urgent Help Needed: Shelter and Food for family

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

I’m reaching out with deep humility and hope in my heart to ask for your help during one of the most difficult times in our lives.

Last year, my husband and I lost our home in a tax auction in Cherokee County. Homeowners are given a one-year window to repay the auction amount and reclaim the property. We held onto hope and made plans based on that timeline, believing we would receive the excess funds from the sale in time to rebuild.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

When the year passed and we were forced to move, we were still waiting on the disbursement of the excess funds from the Cherokee County Court. We were shocked and devastated. Only two weeks ago, we learned that the attorneys filed a motion for release of excess funds, and it has finally been approved — but we've been told it could still take several more months before we actually receive any of the funds.

In the meantime, we have been living in motels and campgrounds, doing everything we can to stay afloat. Which has caused a huge burden as we also don't have a vehicle at the moment. The stress and instability have been so overwhelming, and the financial burden has become too heavy for us to carry alone.

We are so close to turning the corner, but we need a bridge to get there. I am humbly asking for your support to help us cover basic needs — safe shelter, food, and transportation — while we wait for the funds to be released. Your donation of any amount would mean the world to us.
