Aim: Raise money for Gingers recovery
Ginger is a 3 year old Kunekune who will be 4 years old on August 8th. Ginger is loved and part of the family. Ginger is not a pet she is our family. Ginger started to limp from her front leg. She was taken to Temeku equine in Temecula CA. Upon arrival she had a fever of 107. And rising. We now know that Ginger also suffered from pig stress syndrome which is why her temperature was elevated. The Dr. Did everything on her power to bring the temperature down to be able to transport Ginger to an Emergency vet where she could receive proper treatment. Ginger was transported to Redlands emergency vet where she stayed one day. The Dr. On Redlands suggested Ginger be transferred to a more specialized family. Ginger was then transported to VEG in Anaheim. Ginger stayed in VEG for 2 days. The Dr. In VEG then suggested Ginger be transported to UC Davis. When she was discharged from VEG we traveled 8 hours to arrive to UC Davis. Ginger has been in UC Davis for 5 days. This is the fourth emergency vet she has visited. After numerous blood tests and exams the Dr. Gave a diagnostic of Myopathy. Ginger has a long way of recover. We are very close of running out of funds. We have already paid 10 thousand dollars out of pocket. Please help us donating anything you can to save Ginger. We love Ginger and we want her to make a full recovery and be. Ginger is not standing she has lameness of three limbs. Dr. Gave a hopeful update that Ginger made a slight recovery today. But she will still be staying on the hospital for more days to come.
