To become the primary comprehensive LGBTQIA+ community platform for friendship and professional networking, online and offline.
COMPANY OVERVIEWLesQueers (LQ) is a new mobile application for the LGBTQIA+ community. We focus on friendship, professional networking, finding queer friendly venues/businesses, and everything we need for a lifestyle. You can find anything from sports teams to queer friendly housing through our app. We will launch in the United States by September 2018. Stay tuned! We are an inclusive platform, everyone and anyone is welcome.
We aren't just an application, but a social enterprise and community with a mission to make LGBT mainstream. We believe in the use of technology to support social movements, and we have built a sustainable model to support the LGBT community that aligns with the values and needs of the community.
Founded in 2014, initially as a WeChat group to combat the absence of a distinctive queer women’s scene in Shanghai. The group steadily grew and later became LesQueers , which defines itself as a community hub and safe space for the LGBTQIA+ Community. LesQueers currently enjoys a membership of over 10,000 people globally, and is rapidly growing.

Currently the queer community is spread across Facebook, Instagram, Meetup and Wechat. There isn't a designated space specifically for the queer community to find each other and gather. Through these bigger platforms it makes it harder to find, and our voices get lost amongst the crowd. Offline LGBTQIA+ community centers exist in every major city in the US, and it's important that we create our own community center online.
We started in Shanghai, and we are Shanghai's leading LGBTQIA+ community with connections all over China. We will keep our office in Shanghai; however, for growth and expansion in the United States, Los Angeles has the best market for what we are doing. There is a huge LGBTQIA+ community there, and an especial need for queer women based events and activity.
Co-working spaces lends well to hub for community. We need offices anyway, and since we are a community application we want to offer and open up our space as a hub in different cities. Members of our community value a place where they can be who they truly are. From a financial perspective: Rapid Growth- The number of co-working locations worldwide has increased from 1,130 in 2011 to 13,800 in 2017. Over the same period, the number of members has drastically increased from 43,000 to 1.2 million. Current forecasts provided by the largest co-working conference operator GCUC and Emergent Research indicate the number of co-working members will rise to a staggering 3.8 million by 2020 and 5.1 million by 2022.
