Does GoMeat own any meat stores?

No. GoMeat is simply a technology platform. The GoMeat mobile app is used by consumers to place orders and by Halal meat stores to create an online presence to offer their meat products. GoMeat does not own any meat stores or animal farms.

How do you generate revenue?

GoMeat charges a nominal transaction fee (service charge) to both the consumer and the meat store for the processing of each order.

How big is your team?

We are a team of <10 with varying skills and backgrounds. The founders have an extensive background and experience in enterprise resource planning and delivery for large scale IT projects. In addition, we have a small development team for the mobile apps and backend development, along with a very lean customer service team.

Does being dedicated to just fresh meat limit your market?

This niche is currently a $12 billion-dollar halal meat market with significant growth potential. As consumers are more interested in healthy diet choices, fresh Halal meats are becoming rapidly more popular.

Who are your competitors?

In the specialty meat Halal marketplace, there are no established competitors with an on-demand technology platform. Grubhub, DoorDash, & UberEats are most similar but have not yet ventured into this market.

How do you sign up stores and customers?

We have approached well-established stores by cold calling, as well as through references. After sharing the value proposition, they are anxious to come on board. With some local marketing, customers also join the platform. Also, we have used community forums and get-togethers to market and sign up customers. Our digital marketing through Facebook, Twitter, Google, & Instagram has been very successful in helping us expand our customer base.
