Why We Started This Company
I was a dot-com casualty in '01 and saw that the fitness industry as a whole was returning to more "functional" devices like kettlebells, sandbags, etc. Even the gyms themselves were changing moving into more "open" rooms. The legitimate modalities always return. If you can ride the wave on that return, you can do exceptionally well. Pilates? Back. Yoga? Back. Education companies that rode those made millions. KBC is in that exact same position now as those other companies were years ago.
What Sets Us Apart
Our curriculum is always evolving. Currently we have Level 1, 2 and Group Ex. Level 3, and two other courses are in development. In fitness, you always have to be evolving and stay on top of where the industry is going. Other successful companies in this space also took their "main" modality and continually built upon it: yogafit.com, stottpilates.com, fitnessanywhere.com, efisportsmedicine.com, zumba.com, and many others are examples of others in this space.
Our Keys To Success
Others in this space are rather small and their brand is centered around a single individual or "personality." That is no way to scale a company successfully but it's all too common in the fitness industry. KBC's nearly 10 years in business, curriculum and strength/qualifications/reputation of our Senior Instructor staff are one of the many things that set us (far) apart from others and give us the reputation that we have. Other (larger, successful) companies in this space scaled the same way.
